Review Policy

Why do I review YA books? While I could give a lengthy answer to this question, I’ll give the simple one first: I have a bad memory. That, and I’m writer so I really should be reading and writing more in general.
As for my review policy, I am simply here to read what I really love and want to read and then write about those books so that I have a handy-dandy index of books I’ve read. It is something I have always wanted to do, and when I started college I literally stopped reading. It was not only awful, but caused me to have really bad writer’s block for four and a half years. Not good when you’re majoring in writing. That honestly wasn’t the best time in my life (I was severely depressed), and I kind of thing it was due a little in part to fact that I forgot to read. I forgot to take a breather from life and escape to a different one for a while.
Books and reading are the best medicine and I don’t want to forget that again. This blog helps me hold myself accountable. While I ever become one of those Goodreads reviewers that people adore like their reviews are better that the book itself? Probably not. Will people ever really follow this blog and look at these reviews? I can hope, but this blog is mainly for me. I eat, sleep, read and write YA. It’s a genre I have loved forever, and it’s a genre I hope to make a career in. Will I accept ARCs and all that jazz if they come my way? Sure! There are so many books I can’t wait to read and this blog is my organizational dream.
Why do I review YA books? For me. And because I have a bad memory.

XOXO Tia
